Bilateral Political Consultations between Serbia and Venezuela

Bilateral political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs and International Trade of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela were held today in Caracas.

The delegation of the Republic of Serbia was headed by State Secretary Damjan Jović, while the delegation of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela was led by Vice Minister for Europe and North America Oliver Blanco.

During the consultations, the traditionally friendly relations between the two countries were reaffirmed, and both sides expressed their readiness to further intensify political dialogue and strengthen bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including the economy, culture and education.

The discussions also covered the positions of the two countries in the contemporary international system, cooperation with countries in their respective regions, the exchange of experience in attracting foreign direct investment, and multilateral cooperation.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the participation of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the Specialised Expo 2027 in Belgrade.

Vice Minister Blanco reiterated the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela's support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Serbia, emphasising that Venezuela's position on this issue would remain unchanged.

The interlocutors underscored the importance of holding regular political consultations as a means of further advancing bilateral relations and expressed their shared interest in convening the next round in Belgrade next year.
