Đurić Confers with Benin’s Foreign Minister

During the meeting, held on the margins of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, Đurić emphasised that Serbia particularly appreciates Minister Brun’s commitment to deepening relations between Serbia and Benin. He expressed his confidence that political dialogue between Belgrade and Cotonou would be further intensified in the period ahead, accompanied by expanded cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

Đurić noted that Serbia and Benin have entered a new phase in their bilateral relations over the past two years, to which, he said, reciprocal visits by officials of the two countries have made an important contribution. He expressed his expectation that Minister Brun would visit Belgrade in the period ahead, thereby continuing the practice of regular high-level exchanges and further strengthening political ties between the two countries.

Đurić welcomed the confirmation of Benin’s participation in the Specialised Expo 2027 in Belgrade, noting that the event would provide an additional opportunity to strengthen contacts and cooperation between the two countries.

The Serbian Foreign Minister emphasised that strengthening partnerships with countries such as Benin forms an important part of Serbia’s broader efforts to deepen relations with its African partners.
