Minister Dean Macpherson leads Heritage in the Built Environment Outreach in eThekwini, 26 Sept

The Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure, Mr Dean Macpherson, will, on Saturday, 26 September 2026, deliver a keynote address at the Heritage in the Built Environment Outreach Programme under the sub-theme, “Heritage in Construction: Building Local Communities, Preserving Our Shared Future”.

The Minister will be joined by the Chief Executive Officer of the Council for the Built Environment (CBE), Dr Msizi Myeza, and the Chairperson of the CBE, Ms Amelia Mtshali, together with other key stakeholders from government, industry, and community leadership.

The event is hosted by the Council for the Built Environment. The programme translates the national Heritage Month theme, “Celebrating Our Living Heritage: Strengthening the Ties That Bind Us”, into a practical intervention that demonstrates the link between living heritage, the built environment, and community knowledge.
