Minister Sindisiwe Chikunga visits families of women killed in Ekurhuleni, 16 Sept

The Minister in the Presidency responsible for Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities, Sindisiwe Chikunga, MP, will today, Wednesday, 16 September 2026, visit the families of women who were killed in the recent incidents reported in and around Ekurhuleni. 

The Minister will visit the bereaved families in Kempton Park and Kwa-Thema to convey condolences, offer support and engage with the families following the tragic loss of their loved ones. 

The programme is as follows: 
Wednesday, 16 September 2026 
Time 12:00 – Visit to the first bereaved family 
Venue: Kempton Park 

Time 13:00 – Visit to the second bereaved family 
Venue: Kwa-Thema 

The Minister is also expected to attend the Memorial Service for the victims on Thursday, 17 September 2026. 

Time: 09:30 – Memorial Service in Kempton Park
