Deputy Minister Pinky Kekana takes government services to Zandspruit, 11 Sep

As South Africa marks Public Service Month, Deputy Minister for the Public Service and Administration, Ms. Pinky Kekana, will lead a Community Imbizo and Integrated Service Delivery Outreach Programme in Zandspruit Ward 114 on Friday, 11 September 2026, bringing critical government services directly to residents.

Held under the Public Service Month theme, “Professionalising the Public Service to Build Trust and Restore Confidence in Government,” the outreach will put the principles of an accessible, responsive and citizen-centred Public Service into action.

Community members will have access to government services on wheels at the Zandspruit Sports Ground in Ward 114. Participating institutions include the Department of Home Affairs, South African Social Security Agency (SASSA), National Youth Development Agency (NYDA), Department of Employment and Labour, Department of Water and Sanitation, Pikitup, and other government departments and entities. The event will also afford the residents an opportunity to raise critical matters related to service delivery with the Deputy Minister, further strengthening government engagement with communities.
