Deputy Minister Narend Singh leads Garden Route Biosphere Reserve Compliance and Enforcement Joint Operation, Western Cape, 10 to 11 Sep

The Deputy Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment, Mr Narend Singh, will lead the Garden Route Biosphere Reserve Compliance and Enforcement Joint Operation on Thursday and Friday, 10 and 11 September 2026, in Plettenberg Bay, Bitou Local Municipality, Western Cape Province.

The joint operation is aimed at conducting inspections to determine whether landowners and land users are complying with their legal obligations relating to the management, control and eradication of listed alien and invasive species. The objective is not only to enforce the law, but to promote responsible environmental stewardship and encourage proactive management of invasive species across the landscape.
