Deputy Minister Mapaseka Letsike hosts 70@70 Mfazi Luncheon and Magazine Launch, 29 Aug

The Deputy Minister in the Presidency, Mapaseka Steve Letsike, will launch the 70@70 Mfazi Luncheon and Magazine Launch in Celebration of the 70-years commemoration of the Women’s Month march and celebration of the milestones of freedom through Courage, Leadership and Collective Action on Saturday, 29 August 2026.

A key highlight of the luncheon will be the launch of the 70@70 Mfazi Magazine, which celebrates the stories, achievements, leadership and contributions of South African women across generations. Held in partnership with the International Women’s Peace Group and Access Chapter 2, the event will conclude Women’s Month by traveling through the last 7 decades of women’s emancipation.

The magazine seeks to amplify women's voices and experiences while highlighting the diverse ways in which women continue to contribute to South Africa’s social, economic, cultural and political development.
