Erdogan Accuses Israel of Leading ‘Unlawful War’ on Iran

(MENAFN) Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated on Wednesday that the Israeli government holds primary responsibility for the ongoing “unlawful war” targeting Iran.

Speaking at a meeting of his Justice and Development (AK) Party's parliamentary group in Ankara, Erdogan emphasized, “The Israeli government bears primary responsibility for this unlawful war, which has not only turned our region into a zone of conflict but has also imposed an economic burden on all of humanity.”

He further warned, "It must not be forgotten that every drop of blood shed in the war will prolong (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu’s political survival."

Highlighting his commitment to peace, Erdogan added, “Our hope is that the path to peace will be opened without further bloodshed, and for this, we will continue to do everything we can, even if it means putting ourselves on the line.”
