Erdogan Says Israeli Government ‘Primarily Responsible’ for War on Iran

(MENAFN) Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated on Wednesday that the Israeli government holds primary responsibility for the ongoing “unlawful war” on Iran.

Speaking to his Justice and Development (AK) Party parliamentary group in Ankara, Erdogan said, “The Israeli government bears primary responsibility for this unlawful war, which has not only turned our region into a zone of conflict but has also imposed an economic burden on all of humanity.”

He emphasized that “every drop of blood shed in the war will prolong (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu’s political survival.” Erdogan added that Turkey hopes for a peaceful resolution and pledged, “Our hope is that the path to peace will be opened without further bloodshed, and for this, we will continue to do everything we can, even if it means putting ourselves on the line.”
